Night light

All roads leading into my hometown of Great Bend impart, unfortunately, a mostly unfavorable impression of the town. But going in from the south the other night offered this lovely image. At least at Christmas, at night, the town looks all right. I love this lighted-up church....

... and the lights around the Court House square are pretty elegant too, considering.

Lori, is that the church at the Barton County Historical Museum? I love how they have it lit up. As a fellow BT county native, I've always thought the courthouse square was pretty at Christmas, too.

The top photo is awesome. We might have to use it for the Christmas Day edition of the Eagle. If we do then you can claim your mileage to Great Bend. Hooray!

Chris, good eye. Yes, it is that church. And Jaime -- it would make a nice Christmas Day cover, but my photo is a little off in the perfect symmetry of these lights. I strongly urge a real photog like yourself to go take a better shot!

Considering what, my friend? That there is nothing "favorable" about GBK no matter what direction you enter from? HoHoHo.

Hey. Found your blog per Google search looking for your address to ask you some questions about Wichita organizations concerning advocacy for universal health care. Mail me, woman.

Nice blog. Good to see what you're doing and an update on your family!!

Love you,

MJ

Hey, you said it, not me...

Hello to you my friend. Been some time, huh? My friend and Eagle photographer Travis went to Quivira to shoot some photos for the paper a couple of weeks ago and ran into Karole and J.D. Wow. I'd love to hear that story sometime... and I mean the one about them hooking up. WTF?
OK, even tho I know nothing about advocacy groups for universal health care, I'll write back to you if you email me at linenberger@hotmail.com.

Love u 2,
Lori
